The Art of Percussion

A Profile of Claire Edwardes

The Art of Percussion

Ensemble Offspring teams up with one of the country’s most successful young percussionists, Claire Edwardes, to present a chamber concert dedicated to the art of percussion. The concert features the Australian premieres of new percussion concertinos including the radical textures of Heinz Hollinger and the urban drive of Steve Mackey. The Ensemble also presents new works from talented young Australians Kate Neal and Dominik Karski as well as introducing the provocatively transparent gestures of UK Composer Laurence Crane.
