This month heralds the beginning of a new era for Ensemble Offspring, welcoming a new General Manager, Nick Pontikos, and first ever Development, Marketing and Projects Manager, Anna Kamaralli.

Together, Nick and Anna join our inimitable Artistic Director, Claire Edwardes, to shape the exciting next phase of Ensemble Offspring’s trajectory.

Nick and Anna each take on key leadership roles for the company, upholding our culture of innovation, excellence and agility, and broadening the organisation’s capability. Nick’s business experience with Inertia Music and Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), combined with Anna’s background as a writer, editor and lecturer, as well as with arts organisations such as Belvoir Street Theatre and the Dublin International Festival, make for a strong and nimble team.

Claire Edwardes said “I am thrilled to announce these new appointments, and personally am excited to welcome Nick and Anna to the Ensemble Offspring family. I know that they will both bring fresh insights to the company, strengthening the firm foundations laid in our past and assuring a more sustainable future.”

Ensemble Offspring is grateful to all those who have played a role in shaping the sustainable and professional organisation it has become, including former co-Artistic Director, Damien Ricketson, and former General Manager, Janine Marshman. In addition, the company sincerely thanks recently departed Production & Marketing Coordinator, Kiriaki Koubaroulis, who excelled as Acting General Manager over the past three months, and farewells her as she steps down to join Merrigong Theatre Company as their Community Engagement Coordinator.

The new team will continue to be supported by Administration Assistant, Alexis Weaver, as well as newcomer, Canberra-based Alex Rapauch, who will assist with hands-on production for Hatched Academy and other large-scale projects.

Nick Pontikos said “I am thrilled to be working for Ensemble Offspring, a truly visionary group under the stewardship of Claire Edwardes. I look forward to making a hefty contribution to what is already a wonderful arts organisation.”

Anna Kamaralli said “Ensemble Offspring’s growing presence in innovative music is inspiring and worthy of the kind of support that will allow its vision to flourish. I am excited to put my creative energy to work in the service of its artists.”
