This month, Ensemble Offspring will say goodbye to its first ever General Manager, Janine Marshman, who has announced she is stepping down to move onto an exciting new opportunity as Digital Editor for ABC Classic FM.

Janine has been with Ensemble Offspring for almost four years now and was the company’s first full-time General Manager. She has played a significant role in shaping the sustainable and professional organisation it has become.

In particular, Ensemble Offspring farewells Janine with utmost thanks for the strong administration, operational, governance and business foundations she has built — a platform for sustainability for many years to come. Together with then co-Artistic Directors Claire Edwardes and Damien Ricketson, Janine was successful in securing the ensemble’s first ever multi-year funding with both the Australia Council and Create NSW.

Claire Edwardes, Artistic Director, said “I have been deeply honoured to have Janine as a close colleague for the past four years. Her strong business leadership of the company has seen it grow from strength to strength over the past quadrennium and I am excited to see where the next four years and beyond will take us!”

Janine said “I feel closely aligned with the values and artistic product of Ensemble Offspring, and proud of being a part of so many exceptional projects and activities. My time with the company has been a period of growth both for the company and myself personally and professionally”.

The Board will commence the search for a new General Manager imminently. With thanks to the committed team behind Ensemble Offspring, the company is grateful to Kiriaki Koubaroulis, Production & Marketing Coordinator, who has agreed to act as General Manager during the transition.
