A roughed-up cardboard box lies on the ground, surrounded by Autumn leaves. Scrawled across the box in messy black writing is "Care Package for Ensemble Offspring."

Celebrate Make Music Day with Ensemble Offspring! Join us for an arty unboxing as our musicians open literal musical care packages from mystery composers. Ensemble Offspring’s special HiberNATION Festival event will be a weird, inventive and ultimately comforting musical unboxing session.

Join Ensemble Offspring for INTERNATIONAL MAKE MUSIC DAY

Mystery Australian composers from around the world are currently preparing their musical care packages to say Happy 25th Birthday to Ensemble Offspring.  They are about to send them to the core members of Ensemble Offspring: Claire, Blair, Jason, Lamorna, Zubin (all the way from London), Veronique and Freya, plus their trusty guide for the evening, Roland Peelman. They will open their very own musical care package for the first time live on stream, and will then perform the contents. And YOU become the conductor, in a kind of sonic “choose your own adventure”, switching the windows on and off to create your own version of this curious sound happening.

This is a concert for those of us who love surprises and the thrill of opening presents! Don’t miss it.

Online, Sunday June 21 – 6pm
