MUSIFY+GAMIFY

Post image for MUSIFY+GAMIFY

Hear Ensemble Offspring at play in a set of musical games. Negotiating morse de-coders, decision trees and live computer scores, Sydney’s champions of innovative new music will dive headlong into a sonic arena where the final result is unknown!

Running with the tradition of renegade composer and improviser John Zorn and his infamous ‘game pieces’, an all-wind quartet presents four premieres by Australian composers Julian Day, Cor Fuhler, Steffan Ianigro and Damien Ricketson. Driven by rules more akin to gaming than classical composition, explore dynamic and fluid musical environments.
