KON-TIKI a solitary raft expedition crossing the pacific ocean in 1947

RACK-ET n. a loud noise/to lead an active social life

Ensemble Offspring’s brand new micro festival of new sounds from around the globe. An expedition of invention from Berlin to Sydney and New York to Perth. A visceral world of living music; sinuous, sculptural and sizzling sounds.

The weekend featured three concerts showcasing five world premieres, a panel discussion with leading ‘global’ music makers and an industry speed dating sessions. We welcomed international guest, composer and sound artist, Juan Felipe Waller (Berlin/Mexico), whose 2014 Noisy Egg commission, Detone Retune, was restaged.
