HATCHED ACADEMY SUMMER SCHOOL CONCERTS

Hear spanking new works by the cream of the crop of emerging Australian compositional talent, at the end of their intensive week of workshops, masterclasses and discussions with Ensemble Offspring and Melbourne based mentor Kate Neal. Ken Thomson, acclaimed clarinet and bass clarinet player of Bang on a Can All Stars fame, also presents a mid week solo show as part of Hatched Academy 2019.

HATCHED ASSOCIATE ARTIST 2019 CONCERTS

We appoint a performer every year to be our Hatched Associate Artist for the year. In this capacity the young performer joins Ensemble Offspring members in main stage concerts and is mentored by instrumentalists and our Artistic Director as well as external industry mentors. HATCHED OPEN MIC

Hatched Open Mic musicians are handed the stage and the support of Ensemble Offspring, and asked to do something innovative. In 2019 we welcomed Bianca Gannon and Elliot Hughes all the way from Melbourne and local sensations, percussionist Niki Johnson and bassist Will Hanson.
