For Avant Gardens we head into the backyards and backrooms of our very own musicians’ homes to make some noise. Join us for an intimate concert experience featuring ‘avant-garde’ classics, world premieres from local heroes and chamber music gold. Trussed features our stunning cellist Blair Harris alongside our Artistic Director and 2021 Hatched Associate Artist in an array of works by female composers Alice Humphries and Karen Tanaka, a flower-pot classic by Frederic Rzewski and pieces celebrating the influence of early music by Caroline Shaw and Edgar Meyer. Be touched by a meaningful musical experience in a garden in Tempe brought to you by the ever-creative musicians of Ensemble Offspring during Australia’s COVID concert hall recovery.
