Avant Gardens 3: Trussed

March 20, 2021 @ 5:00 pm 6:15 pm

For Avant Gardens we head into the backyards and backrooms of our very own musicians’ homes to make some noise. Join us for an intimate concert experience featuring ‘avant-garde’ classics, world premieres from local heroes and chamber music gold. Trussed features our stunning cellist Blair Harris alongside our Artistic Director and 2021 Hatched Associate Artist in an array of works by iconic female composers Caroline Shaw, Kaija Saariaho and Karen Tanaka, a flower-pot classic by Frederic Rzewski and works celebrating low strings by Luke Styles and Alfred Schnittke. Be touched by a meaningful musical experience in a garden in Tempe brought to you by the ever-creative musicians of Ensemble Offspring during Australia’s COVID concert hall recovery.
