Celebrate Make Music Day with Ensemble Offspring! Join us for an arty unboxing as our musicians open literal musical care packages from mystery composers. Ensemble Offspring’s special HiberNATION Festival event will be a weird, inventive and ultimately comforting musical unboxing session.
Mystery Australian composers from around the world prepared their musical care packages to say Happy 25th Birthday to Ensemble Offspring. Just days before the performance they sent their packages to the core members of Ensemble Offspring: Claire, Blair, Jason, Lamorna, Zubin (all the way from London), Veronique and Freya, plus their trusty guide for the evening, Roland Peelman. They opened their very own musical care packages for the first time live on stream, and then performed the contents. And YOU became the conductor, in a kind of sonic “choose your own adventure”, switching the windows on and off to create your own version of this curious sound happening.
This is a concert for those of us who love surprises and the thrill of opening presents! Don’t miss it.
HiberNATION is a completely independent festival with no external funding. So PLEASE click and donate to Ensemble Offspring. Think what would you be willing to pay for a ticket and give that!
