A brief history of electronic music beginning with the godfather Karlheinz Stockhausen and his seminal Kontakte and ending with the latest electronic soundworlds of Pimmon with a unique musical segue in the middle. Stockhausen’s seminal work is influential not only for its contribution to the development of a revolutionary new medium of music but also for its integration of electronic music with acoustic music.
