Sydney’s musical mavericks, Ensemble Offspring, bring you virtuosic solos by minimalist heroes Steve Reich, Michael Gordon and Nico Muhly, and new Australian chamber music.
Experience the immersive world of music and image—from the depths of the ocean to sound worlds of molten glass.
This visceral program features virtuosic solos by Reich, Gordon and Muhly on percussion, violin and clarinet, alongside two Australian trios – a world premiere by Brisbane composer Christopher Perren, based on the movement of underwater divers, and the stunning Fractured Again Suite inspired by splintering glass.
About Michael Gordon’s Light is Calling: “…devastatingly interpreted by Ensemble Offspring’s Veronique Serret.”Matthew Lorenzon, Partial Durations
