Ensemble Offspring

Roar

October 12, 2013 | 8:00pm

Ensemble Offspring Roar at the lucky citizens of London and Campbelltown, performing works commissioned and championed by the group. In its second European tour, Ensemble Offspring presents Australian gems and modern classics alongside a barrage of works written especially for the ensemble by Jennifer Walshe, Laurence Crane, Matthew Shlomowitz, Jane Stanley and James Humberstone. Kate Moore’s fresh new quintet Fern will be given its world premiere in European cultural centres.

“From my own perspective I agree that the workshop was a fabulous success. The experience benefitted not just those students who had pieces performed but everyone else who attended and observed too.”

Stanley – lecturer, composer & host Glasgow University

“I thought the workshop was excellent all ’round. The ensemble obviously handled everything well. Playing the pieces certainly, as well as giving feedback and advice. I can’t really think of any way in which it might have been improved except to do things like this as often as possible.”
