Music of the Skies

Songbirds (2018-present)

As birdsong drifts in on the summer breeze, an intimate trio of flute, clarinet and percussion take inspiration from the weird and wonderful sounds of the Australian bush in Songbirds. Capturing the calls and songs of Australian birds in a plethora of new works by Australian composers, Songbirds is a journey into the sounds of nature with the magical calls of pied butcher birds of the red centre, virtuosic avian displays and indigenous musical perspectives on these beguiling creatures of the sky.

Our highly acclaimed Songbirds album is available digitally and physically here. Songbirds videos can be viewed here.
